Cities are Mirrors of Their People

The relationship between city and individuals is a mutual relationship, even in its ruin, because  negative relations and social exclusion was one of the symptoms internists of physical ruin that resulted after the war, and spatial ruin spread to include the safe parts of the city and moral and ethical disintegration appeared in  clearer way, which was pointed by Plato he Linked the  physical desolation with individuals desolation and the Absence of justice, equality, solidarity values and self-collective consciousness, However, despite the war conditions, the necessity of co-existence and adaptive constructive social links between individuals have highlighted; it must be strengthened and emphasized to restructuring inclusive physical.

As a result, Social life in a city and the physical structures of that city are closely related to each other. Sometimes overlap and sometimes create each other. The Social life converges when the physical city form is destroyed.

Concept adopted approach between Social life of Cities and the physical and material form, and determine the convergence points between them in Jobar in Damascus, , and how life formed from the core of the happening retreat and the impact of one on other.

So the Physical forms represent the basic areas in which the spatial retreat happened and reflected its effects on individuals, , so need to be treated and repaired it regenerate ethics links and spatial interactions, re-weave the links, reform the collective conscious. And reshape a distinctive identity based on an ethics value, to get rid of the effects of retreat spatial physical, social and psychological in the Syrian cities.

إن علاقة المدينة بالأفراد هي علاقة متبادلة حتى في خرابها, فالعلاقات السلبية والإستبعاد الإجتماعي كانت أحد العوارض الباطنية للخراب الفيزيائي الذي نتج بعد الحرب, وانتشر التهديم المكاني على الاجزاء السليمة من المدينة وظهر التفكك القيَمي والاخلاقي بشكل أوضح, وهو ما أشار له أفلاطون فربط الخراب المادي بخراب الأفراد وإنعدام قيم العدالة والمساواة والتكافل والوعي الذاتي والجمعي, إلا أنه وبرغم ظروف الحرب فقد أبرزت ضرورة التعايش والتكيف روابط اجتماعية بناءة بين الأفراد، يجب تعزيزها والتأكيد عليها لإعادة التشكيل الفيزيائي المشتمل.

بالنتيجة، ترتبط الحياة الإجتماعية والأشكال المادية والفيزيائية في المدن ارتباطا وثيقا مع بعضها. فتتداخل أحيانا ,تخلق بعضها أحيانا اخرى. وتتلاقي الشبكات والحياة الإجتماعية عندما يتم تدمير الهياكل الفيزيائية والمادية للمدن.

اعتمد العمل المقاربة بين الحياة الاجتماعية والأشكال المادية وتحديد نقاط الالتقاء بينهما في  حي جوبر – مدينة دمشق ، وكيف نشأت الحياة من قلب الانسحاب الحاصل، وتاثير أحدهما على الأخرى.
